Good to know

Questions, answered

The things couples usually want to know. If yours isn't here, get in touch — we're always happy to talk it through.

What's the difference between the Cinematic and Traditional edits?

It comes down to structure. The Traditional edit runs in chronological order, built around montages, with the ceremony and speeches shown in full — it can last up to two hours. The Cinematic edit is short-form: 15–20 minutes, where we break down the live audio and rebuild it so the film follows the story of your day, with images and music woven around it. You still receive the full ceremony, speeches and first dance as separate films either way.

Does short-form mean I'm getting less?

Not at all. You still receive the full ceremony, speeches and first dance as separate files — the short-form film is simply faster-paced, and it actually takes longer to make. Our couples tell us they watch it again and again, rather than leaving it on a shelf.

What if I want my whole ceremony and speeches?

Every film is delivered with a full multi-cam edit of the ceremony, speeches and first dance — on the USB and on our Wedflow platform — alongside the short-form movie. You don't miss a thing.

Can we choose our own music?

Yes. For your USB we licence the music so you can choose whatever you like. When we put a clip online we have to use royalty-free music for legal reasons — which is why the music in our samples may be unfamiliar.

How is the film delivered?

On beautiful custom USBs in designer presentation boxes, so you view it at its best quality — plus our Wedflow platform, which lets you watch and download your films on any device. If anything ever happens to the USB, you simply download them again.

How long is the film, and when will I receive it?

A Cinematic edit runs 15–20 minutes; a Traditional edit's length depends on your ceremony and speeches. Delivery is quoted at 4–18 weeks depending on the time of year — most weddings are filmed May to August, so late-summer dates tend to have the longest wait.

How many cameras do you use?

Usually two for the ceremony, speeches and first dance with one operator, three with two operators — more if it helps the film. For the rest of the day we shoot one camera each, mixing wide, telephoto and gimbal shots.

Do we really need two operators?

Not always — but a second operator captures far more, letting one cover the essentials while the other gets creative. It's especially valuable across multiple locations, or for winter weddings where daylight is short.

Do you film the whole day?

It depends on your package. Traditional runs from an hour before the ceremony to the first dance; the Cinematic packages start at bridal prep and cover most of the day up to the first hour of dancing (Cinematic Plus, until the buffet). It can all be tailored to suit you.

Do you shoot in 4K?

Yes — everything is filmed in 4K on large-sensor cinema cameras for the best quality and flexibility, even when delivery is HD. Take the 4K delivery option and you receive two USBs, one HD and one 4K.

How do I book?

Most couples start with an availability check. If we're free, we'll help you choose your coverage and send an electronic quote — and if you'd like to book, you can pay the deposit and sign the contract online from the quote.

What's the deposit, and when is the balance due?

The deposit is £250, and the balance is due four weeks before the wedding.
